Saddleback Caterpillar Moth

This Caterpillar has great camoflauge with its fore wings being a glossy dark brown with black streaks and several white dots.

Habitat: forest edges, orchards, and gardens.
Food: Caterpillar eata floiage of a wide variety of orchard trees, horticultural shrubs, corn, and other plants.
Saddleback Caterpillars are easier to recognize than adult moths. The spines on their sides are mildly poisonous and, if touched, will sting.
